Meet your Photographer

My name is Gidel Samuel Warde, your photographer and creative behind the camera. I'm super excited that you are here. For the last 9 years, I've had the privilege of documenting crazy-in-love couples as they celebrate their marriage and take their relationships to deeper levels. What an awesome and amazing experience it has been!

I believe that life is like a song, so beautiful that you have to find a way to sing, dance, play, and share it with others. To every wedding, I bring with me this passion and devotion to share with you and give you the very best that you deserve.

When I am not behind the camera, you can find me chefin' up a steak, enjoying a thought-provoking movie/documentary, exploring new places, or playing a song on the piano with my wife, Bree. We also enjoy listening to a wide variety of music including jazz, RnB, and others. We are always up for a new adventure, whether here on Long Island or beyond, and we would love to be a small part of yours.

how it started

Its crazy where life takes you when you're a quiet introverted thinker. It all happened the very moment that my Mom took me on an airplane (Mom calls it the iron bird) for the very first time - I had tasted flight and was hooked! What started as a yearly summer trip to the Caribbean ended up being an epic adventure of a lifetime, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

My fascination with light and adventure was born and I searched for ways to channel it. So I pleaded for a camera and got to work capturing everything in sight. In fact, I spent the entirety of those 5-hour flights with my forehead plastered on the window of the aircraft looking for that picture perfect shot: puffy white clouds, deep blue skies, and dreamy sunlight.

Those 5-hour flights taught me that the stories behind the images we treasure, and the emotions that they stir in us are what lift our hearts when life throws us curve balls. In late 2013 it came time to pursue photography full-time and I yearned to create imagery with a deeper meaning and purpose. I wanted to capture the stories, moments, and emotions that outlast time itself. This is exactly what attracted me to wedding and couples photography.
